Nina Robertson pictured her life like a fairy tale. She wanted a happy marriage, babies, a successful career and her own happily ever after. But when Nina finds herself trying on her cousin's wedding dress, she realizes she's not happy.
Nina's fiancee has recently left her and things are falling apart. She decides it's time to find her own Cinderella ending, one glass slipper at a time.
According to her girlfriends, step one is finding herself a boy toy. Step two is to ask her boss for a job promotion. Step three would be the wedding bells and babies.
After a drunken night out with the girls, Nina meets a guy named Dante. Dante is the kind of guy you don't take home to meet mom and dad. He is incredibly sexy, drives a motorcycle, and would make an excellent boy toy. Dante makes Nina extremely happy but is very undependable. He isn't marriage material and Nina isn't sure where this relationship is going.
Nina becomes side tracked when her ex fiancee, Jeremiah, suddenly reenters her life. Jeremiah is a reporter who travels all over the world. He asks Nina to pretend to be his fiancee because of a mess he's gotten himself into pertaining to his job. Nina can't turn her back on him, so she helps him out by posing as his fiancee at events.
With the help of her best friends Brooke and Unity, Nina tries to focus on getting what she wants. But what is it that Nina wants? Is it Jeremiah, or is it her boy toy Dante? Who is Nina's prince charming? Who is her happily ever after?
This book was sexy and hilarious. I can definitely see this becoming a series. Nina's character isn't your typical ditzy blond who is oblivious to what is going on in her life. Nina is a smart, ambitious, hard-working, passionate woman who grabs onto what she wants and doesn't let go until she gets it. Readers will love the relationship between Dante and Nina. Every woman loves a bad boy and Dante is the ultimate bad boy.
