The Tough Guide to Fantasyland by Diana Wynne Jones is a must-read for all Fantasy fans that want a grand time, complete with laughs.
Your tour, should you elect to travel, begins with a map (how else would one begin the journey) and the map should be studied carefully. Actually, there are complete directions given for how the book should be used. Jones describes and defines every aspect, in great detail, arranged alphabetically, with identification elements, and everything and anything that has to do with fantasy.
If you didn't already know it, landlords are always innkeepers. Orbs are strange things with dual purpose, orcs are a better mutation of goblins and are always serve the dark lord. Then there is the talisman, which is the same as an amulet but doesn't hang around the neck. There are also rules for a tavern brawl and witches are equal to wizards and come in several kinds. From A to Z there this is a hilarious guide to Fantasyland.
