What do you remember from your high school years? Four New York City students record their daily thoughts and feelings in The Notebook Girls.
The Notebook Girls is probably the worst book I have ever tried to read. There isn't much to say--it is simply one page after the other of profanity, extreme crudeness, disgusting sexual innuendo and drug references. If all the reader is after is an uncensored look into the mindset of a few New York City high school students, then they may find what they are looking for.
But this reviewer cannot think of any other reason to even glance at a book like this, let alone own a copy. You'll find more depth in any typical high-schooler Xanga or MySpace blog. As far as this reviewer is concerned, The Notebook Girls is tailor-made for the exact place my copy is going to end up--the trash.
Armchair Interviews says: This teenage reviewer says it all about this book. It sounds like "buyer beware."
