With practical tips and examples from his own childhood, Keith G. Wright tries to show teenagers how to make the most of their adolescence and follow their dreams.
Packed with encouragement and "you-can-do-it" pep talks, The Life of Teenagers is written like an affectionate letter from one man to the youth of today. The author shares personal stories from his childhood and the lessons his mother taught him growing up.
Wright urges teenagers to appreciate their families, make the most of their education, and believe in their own individuality--above everything else.
The section on conformity and media imagery alone makes reading the book worthwhile. Wright's in-depth examination of how the media determines our thoughts is both eye opening and disturbing.
Though the author occasionally comes off as overly idealistic, his sincerity is unquestionable.
Armchair Interviews says: Every teenager might want to read this book at least once.
