Legacy of the Force: Bloodlines is the second novel of nine, in the Legacy of the Force series. The first book is Legacy of the Force: Betrayal, written by Aaron Allston. The third book in the series is Legacy of the Force: Tempest and it will be released December 2006.
Just when you think every story connected to the Star Wars series that could be told has been told, a new and exciting adventure unfolds, bringing in the extended families of the original characters.
Heroes Luke, Han, Leia, C-3PO, R2-D2 and their allies return in the adventure Legacy of the Force: Bloodlines. The Solo and Skywalker families are experiencing relationship problems as civil war looms in the future.
Han Solo and his wife return to Corellia (Han's homeland and where the resistance is strongest). Their children Jacen and Jaina are Galactic Alliance soldiers charged with stopping the insurgents who are threatening the alliance. Jacen, guided by his Sith mentor, Lumiya, is a master of the Force with his own ideas of how to crush the insurgents. His path (think Darth Vader) is a dangerous one, especially since he believes he is doing what he must to save the galaxy.
There are characters from the past (Boba Fett) that arrive on the scene and no one is sure who is friend and who is foe, who will win and who will lose.
I would suggest reading Betrayal first. And lest you think that all questions are answered, they're not. Remember, this is the second book in a nine book series. So, hang on, it's not that long until December.
Armchair Interviews says: Bloodlines is another exciting Star Wars novel.
