Renegade and his two best friends and comrades, Rampage and Dysrilion, have come of age. They have proven themselves in their off-world challenges of manhood. They are now considered esteemed hunters.
Each has felt the first stirrings of love, some shared, some unrequited. Renegade has sired a son, as a gift to Kyva and her new husband.
They move on their ships from one world to another in search of a beast--one that preys on civilizations of much weaker physical strength. They find themselves on Earth, where, during an act of selfless bravery by Renegade, they suffer a great tragedy and loss of someone very dear to them all.
Rossmans' pairing of ancient American Indian culture and ultra high-tech makes for a wonderful and fascinating read. The storyline will feed the hunger of most with vivid imaginations. At the same time it won't leave those of us that aren't techno-savvy completely in the dark.
I look forward to the next adventure in this very entertaining series.
