Desiree Jacobs has been fully trained in art theft, but she isn't a criminal--yet. She is paid to steal from museums in order to find their weaknesses in security.
When her father is murdered and she finds a cache of fine art he has stolen (without the owners' consents), she may have to put her life on hold in order to save her securities company, her father's reputation, the art and her life.
While reading this story of intrigue and romance, I found my pulse racing. Would she get caught returning the stolen art? Was she able to ditch her tail? Who is really the bad guy? And, in a surprising turn of events, I only figured it out moments before it was revealed.
This was an entertaining read where every road went somewhere. I wasn't left wondering why something was written in, and how that particular plot line turned out. It flowed naturally to a satisfying ending.
Armchair Interviews says: Jill Elizabeth Nelson wrote a gripping debut novel.
