"I know this is confusing; it will get easier for you. It will. But you don't have time to be stubborn right now. And you're so not ready to know yet, anyway. Just go. Now!" Collin Boyd, or at least the former Collin Boyd, has just found himself "shifted" into the body of Grant Burrows. It is confusing, and it does get easier for him as the story progresses. But does he go? Of course not.

Relentless (Book 1 of a trilogy) is action, action, action. Rather than flee the forces of evil that pursue him at every turn, Grant stays. Instead of hiding in self-preservation, Grant seeks out the truth--and assassins, arsonists, kidnappers, and betrayals dog his every move. Why was he "Shifted"? Who or what caused the Shift? What is the significance of the ring that won't come off? These trials strengthen him physically, mentally and spiritually, all which are required for the final showdown.

Grant is not alone. "Whatever is happening to all of us...it hinges on you. The Shift. The rings. Our enhanced abilities. You are the key to it all, Grant. The bits of the stone tablet I've been able to translate speak of a 'miracle man' called 'the Bringer', whose destiny is to 'shape the future'. That man...is you."

"The Bringer is a force of destruction. The power of an atom...the energy of the sun...Crumbs on the table compared to what you're capable of. There is only one universal truth in this life: you are either in control, or you are under it. I've seen to it that you will take control of your own destiny and sweep through this world like nothing that has ever been. You will seize it and make it your own. That is your destiny, boy! It's the reason I saw to it that you were born. You will take dominion over this earth. Whether you want it or not!"

Relentless. Good against Evil. Light versus Darkness. Love over hatred. There is a biblical reference late in the story that answers the question "Why the Shift?"

Armchair Interviews says: If you enjoyed Ted Dekker's Three, or Frank Peretti's Monster, you will love this book. Non-stop action makes Relentless hard to put down!
