I am an avid quilter and enjoy both traditional and contemporary quilting. But I must admit that contemporary quilting is my passion. My personal art-quilting fix is filled by the Quilting Arts Magazine, published four times a year (March, June, September and December).

Quilting Arts Magazine's layout is superb. The color photographs are breathtaking! And it is filled with wonderful, well-written and interesting articles that make you want to go straight to your fabric stash and create a fantastic piece of art. The magazine constantly features new ideas for all sorts of projects from fabric-altered books and fabric-art dolls to beautiful wall hangings using threads and found objects. I never knew one could use these techniques to create a thing of beauty.

If you love quilting, especially contemporary art quilts, then Quilting Arts Magazine is for you. The downside is that this magazine is so beautiful and filled with great ideas that you'll never, ever toss an issue. I haven't. I eagerly wait for each new issue. The magazine can be found at most bookstores, quilt shops, drugstores and grocery stores. Or it can be obtained by subscription. Visit www.quiltingarts.com.
