Minn the mouse arrived in northern Minnesota, from Michigan, in a basket of cherries. He lived in a cabin with his best friend, Gerdie. His bed was a bureau drawer lined with scraps of blankets, scarves and old knit hats no longer in use.
Gerdie loved and cared for Minn and he was never lonely, nor did he wonder about any other family members that might exist.
Rink, a raven, was angry because he didn't think Gerdie liked him. Out for revenge, Rink came to Gerdie's cabin, grabbed Minn in his bill, and flew far, far away. After Minn gains his freedom, he begins his extraordinary journey to return to Gerdie.
Armchair Interviews says: Minn from Minnesota is an exciting tale that children will enjoy as they read and reread it.
