Dr. Joe Holoubek, author of Letters to Luke, has expressed his love for the Gospel stories through the eyes of Joseph, a physician who served his patients in Palestine.
The story in 536 pages is told through Joseph's letters to his friend and colleague, Luke. Joseph's letters to Luke share his life and that of his physician wife, Eliza and their experience of coming to know Jesus. It also talks of Jesus' ministry and then his crucifixion and resurrection.
Letters to Luke is an intricate blend of the Biblical truth of Christ's life, medical practices of the time, a cultural history and the love story of a young couple who find Christ and help establish the Christian church. The author includes references for Old and New Testament citations as well as a bibliography and index.
Armchair Interviews says: Letters to Luke is an interesting, compelling and thought-provoking look at Christ's life through the eyes of a physician living in the 21st Century. It is obviously a labor of love by Dr. Holoubek and we recommend it.
