Like a trustworthy friend, Jayne Pelosi shares "inside" information on how anyone can transform their home into a place that is not only functional and comfortable--but also dares to reflect personality.
From the very basic instructions to de-clutter, combined with simple furniture placement suggestions, this book is a real "call to action." It is impossible to read it without putting the book down from time to time to test some of the suggestions, like moving the sofa away from the wall and angling an area rug in front of it.
When considering the task of redecorating, simple suggestions of where to start are invaluable in savings both time and money. Selecting fabrics before deciding on wall color might seem obvious to some, yet I'm sure many do-it-yourselfers have experienced the aggravation of trying to match fabric to newly painted walls. Following Jayne's suggestions will assist in achieving the desired effect without repeating unnecessary and laborious tasks--such as repainting.
The author's background is in psychology and sales management. Written in a practical, informative and humorous style, she reveal her desire to empower everyone with the knowledge that interior design can vary from casual to sophisticated, slightly edgy to more relaxing, but always with an eye that will result in "divine."
Armchair Interviews says: Whether you are likely to do it yourself or engage a designer, Interior Divine shares the secrets of how to combine colors, fabrics, textures and styles, leaving the reader with the confidence and inspiration to transform their home into a beautiful and relaxing place.
