Angie has decided to come home and take care of her mother following her surgery. But what Angie doesn’t tell is that she had nothing else to do but come home: she was fired from her job. Will Angie let down her guard and allow her mom back into her heart, while at the same time allowing the Lord into her heart as well?

What happens when two high school sweethearts separate and marry other people, only to be reunited many years down the road–after their spouses have passed away? Stephanie and Jimmy get to do just that, but will they be able to get together in spite of their children? Can their children learn to forgive?

Terri is the town hairdresser; Mel is the newspaper editor. Both single, both interested in finding the special someone. But can Terri let her guard down after being hurt so many years ago? And can Mel let Terri in after losing his first love?

Patti and Al are new parents of twins. They are tired, they miss each other, and they are struggling financially. Do they give up what they have always wanted in material possessions in order to have peace in their home? How do they learn compassion with one another amongst the stress of new babies?

Come on a trip to Hart’s Crossing and see what lessons you can learn. See how the characters of these stories learn love, compassion, faith, forgiveness, and mercy.

While these books are quick reading for me, I felt there could have been more done with the stories. They each seemed to end so abruptly, just when I was getting to know and love the characters. I could have continued reading about each couple and wish Hatcher would have just written one novel with all four subplots going through the book.

Armchair Interviews says: If you need a few quick stories to pass the time, this novella would be perfect.
