Her Inspiration is the companion book to the highly successful Her P.O.V. planner series from Franklin Covey. The advice in this book is geared to get you going, give you advice, make you believe in your ability–and support you when needed, as needed. In a word: INSPIRE.
“Wisdom, thy name is woman,” author BJ Gallagher wrote in the Foreword to rightfully start this collection of wit and wisdom from women.
Each of the nine chapters use quips and quotes to help you find secrets to your personal satisfaction and success. Each chapter begin with two pages of wisdom, followed by about 60 sayings from famous, infamous and anonymous women (anonymous was always a woman, don’t you think?).
The chapters range from this sampling: “Be Inspired to Achieve,” “Secrets of Highly Successful Women,” “Give Yourself a Break,” “Indulge Yourself,” “Women Can Do Anything”—and thoughts in between.
My book has about 20 little stickies marking certain pages. It was fun to learn and be reminded who said certain quotes that are bantered about by speakers and writers. Was it Margaret Thatcher or Madonna? Was it Helen Keller of Janis Joplin?
I’ll end with one of my favorite quotes by Pat Guritz: “There is a big difference between seeing an opportunity and seizing an opportunity.”
This is Mina Parker’s third book that follows Half Full and Mother is a Verb.
This would make a great gift book and certain a ready resource on your own bookshelf.
Armchair Interviews agrees.
