Subtitled: Reaching the Heart of the Gay Men and Women in Your World

The title says it all!

This comprehensive guide can help the layperson, as well as staff, minister to the needs of individuals who struggle with same-sex attraction. As someone in a mainline denomination that differs on this issue, I think anyone could read this--no matter their current
thoughts and beliefs. You would gain a biblically based perspective with ideas to apply in reaching their family and neighbors, one person, one day at a time.

It came into publication through prayer and Christians responding to God's call to reach 3 percent of our population who need to hear of God's saving grace--rather than condemnation for their orientation--so they may receive the hope that salvation brings.

Even though I was motivated to read for family reasons, Satan tried to block me finishing, but it was worth the emotional struggle to persevere and find the nuggets to use in dealing personally with this concern.

The pre-test about homosexuality with answers and reasons was enlightening. The 12 chapters of text answers three questions:
1) What Are We Missing About Homosexuality?
2) How Welcoming Are We to Homosexuals? and
3) How To Reach Further.

It is followed by 6 personal stories by former homosexuals, including 2 women, and 4 people who have married, 3 with children. They give a realistic picture of what they overcame with the help of many Christians who loved and accepted them for themselves, hurting souls who deserved love and forgiveness. These people were blessed by Christians who exemplify Jesus.

I will loan my copy to my pastor and friends and recommend it to our public library so many can take advantage of their wise counsel based on personal experience with God's grace.

Armchair Interviews says: An important book if you or a family member is dealing with this concern.
