Almost everyone who has read the Bible is familiar with the fruit of the Spirit. Ziglar takes you on a deeper look by helping you understand that the first three fruit are inside the Christian, the second three are directed toward others, and the final three are directed toward God.

With that foundation Ziglar proceeds to share the stories of people whose lives demonstrate the various fruit. Many of them are business people that have demonstrated servant leadership in a variety of ways in the marketplace: Truet Cathy of Chik-Fil-A; Gary Heavin of Curves; Mary Kay Ash of Mary Kay Cosmetics; and Mary Crowley of Home Interiors. Each lived out their faith in the workplace–and the world is a better place as a result.

Others are doctors whose faith made a significant impact on how they used their healing skills – among them Drs. Dick Furman, Kenneth Cooper, and Leslie Holmes. And then there are the coaches and preachers who built character, served as peacemakers and used their faith to lift up their communities in practical ways – men like John McKissick, the winningest high school football coach in history; Tony Evans, founder of Oak Cliff Fellowship; and Bill Bright, founder of Campus Crusade for Christ.

You’ll be inspired by their stories and by the connection you’ll see to the various fruit of the spirit. You’ll be especially blessed by the story of Amey “Sunshine” Fair, the black woman who challenged Zig Ziglar to follow Christ.
