Ghost Eats it All by Janee Trasler is a pre-school book about a ghost named Ghost who is very hungry and eats everything in sight. Ghost eats while Monster watches. Ghost enjoys licking an ice cream cone, munching on an apple and fried egg, devouring a pizza, cake, and candy.
Monster can't stand it anymore and yells, "Boo," and frightens the ghost. Since Ghost is a ghost, all the food falls out and Monster eats the leftovers.
The book is delightful and simple and young children will laugh at the antics of Ghost and Monster. The illustrations are color-drenched bold pictures that are simple but fun.
The subject matter and black/orange colors lend itself to a good Halloween offering for children.
