Derek owns a company that makes bottled water. He takes icebergs from the Antarctic that have separated and uses a microwave to make the berg into water. He was in the business for a while until Soldyne Corporation buys him out for two million dollars. Amazoni,a who goes by the nickname Zo, is living in Antarctica for three seasons with her husband. They have a crew that watches the glaciers and reports when they break off. She is pregnant but not telling anyone, even her husband for fear they will send her back.

Ben is a guy who works for Soldyne Corporation. He takes a crew to the iceberg that has broken loose, and they also use microwaves to make the berg into water that they ship back in tankers to be put in bottles. The company then sells to the highest bidder.

Zo is checking the glaciers and notices rats running around when an explosion occurs. She finds that someone had used explosives to blowup the iceberg and free it from the glaciers. Now she needs to find out who did it. The Australians claim the berg but after just four days they pull out. Now Ben and his crew come in and take over. Zo and her crew are across the peninsula from Ben and his crew who are on the berg. A member from Zo’s crew sends out an S.O.S on the radio. People are sick and dying and they need help. Ben picks up the radio call and heads out in a helicopter.

Zo figures out what is making people sick but it might be too late. Ben is running into a lot of problems. He needs to head off the protesters who are against the company before they blow up a tanker that could end up causing more damage than they know. He finds out secrets about the company that he needs to get broadcasted as soon as possible.

This thriller is a very good and fast read. Some parts make you stop and think more about our water supply.

However, if you are afraid of rats this might not be the book for you.

Armchair Interviews says: Unique but interesting setting for this story.
