This beautifully bound hardcover book chronicles the life of Elvis Presley from the time of his youth all the way up to his final days with his wife and daughter. The moment he signed his first deal with RCA Records is included in this book, as well as several backstage moments.
Many of the photos included in this book have never been published before. All are high quality (except for a few which are a bit blurry). Included throughout are pictures of his family and some famous friend and admirers. Some movie photographs are included too.
The book is put together photo album style, with little explanation. There is some, Like Elvis with Johnny Cash, and things like that, but a lot of the history behind the shots is lost to those who aren’t really familiar with Elvis’ life.
Elvis Presley was popular before I cared much about him or his music, so I’m not an Elvis fan, however, I know that a lot of women are.
If you know a woman—possibly even YOU—who is interested in Elvis and his life and would love a beautifully done photo book of his life, then this would make a wonderful Christmas gift.
Armchair Interviews says: Excellent gift book for anyone who still quivers when she hears Elvis crooning.
