Peter Alan and his family spend a carefree day at the beach where the sun is shining and the breeze is softly blowing. Peter runs, jumps, explores and then has an idea! He writes a letter to the fish inviting them to visit him someday. Then the note is placed in a bottle and he throws it into the water before returning home.
The next morning Alan's community receives an interesting surprise. The fish discovered Alan's invitation and decided to pay him a visit. And that visit makes for an unique time.
Dear Fish is a fun book with an imaginative story. The illustrations were not inviting to me as an adult, but with the increase in popularity of graphic novels, children may be attracted to the graphics-like pictures.
Armchair Interviews says: Children will enjoy the silly adventure of Peter and the fish.
