Gillian Gray is not your every-day photographer. Her main subject is herself, posed to resemble a corpse. It's well known that her mother, a famous supermodel, was murdered when she was a little girl.

Gillian's choice of profession makes everyone wonder what is wrong with her. What kind of person would want to recreate a murder by taking pictures of herself, posed as a corpse? This is what Gillian does every day. No scenery or animal pictures for her. She prefers the morbid pictures. The whole purpose of this is to goad the killer out of hiding to come after her. Then she will get her answers and find out who killed her mother and why.

When Gillian comes home for an art show to display her latest pictures, media frenzy surrounds her. Her pictures are very controversial and protesters picket at her exhibits. After the art show, the media receives a picture a lot like Gillian's portraits, but with a REAL CORPSE in the picture. Someone is killing women and mimicking Gillian's pictures with the corpses. One by one, women are murdered and Gillian starts to fear for her life. Is her mother's killer murdering these women? Has Gillian finally goaded the killer out of hiding? Will the killer come after Gillian to claim her as his last victim?

Annie Solomon has written an extremely suspenseful mystery novel! This was my first book by her and I will definitely be looking for her other books. There is never a dull moment in this book, and the suspense never lets up. She writes with such ease, jumping from romance to mystery like a pro. Dead Shot is a romantic mystery with suspense that will have you turning the pages long into the night, waiting to find out who the killer is.

Armchair Interviews says: This is a 10-star book!
