What would you do if, in a fit of boredom, you "goggled" yourself...and found a site in tribute to you? What if the site painted a much more glamorous life than you were actually living?

Isobel Brannigan does what comes naturally to her--she panics. Soon, no one is safe from her backdoor interrogations or her tests. In her quest to find out who her admirer is, Isobel's life begins to reflect the site--and the life she forgot she wanted.

A humorous look at the forces that drive us, Cyber Cinderella, in typical chick-lit fashion, is high drama, but the take-away value will probably leave you evaluating. Are you where you envisioned you'd be? It's never too late to change course.

In fair warning, or encouragement, depending upon your side of the globe, Cyber Cinderella is British. American audiences may have to read it with an English dictionary in hand for such vocabulary as git, paean, and solipsistic. There was at least one word per page that, though in English, made me pause to gather the meaning of what was being said.

To our morally sensitive audience, sex with multiple partners is referenced but is more often referred to than physically described. Also, there is no shortage of the f-bomb. However, it is closer to the PG-13 side of R than NC-17.

Armchair Interviews says: American audiences will discover a fun read, but bring a dictionary.

From our armchair to yours...
