My grandchildren love silly books with colorful and interesting characters. So do I. As the reader, I think it’s almost as important that the adults like the books we buy and read to our little loved ones.

Crocs! by David T. Greenberg was a big hit this weekend. My three- and five-year-old grandsons and even my six-year-old granddaughter loved Crocs! and wanted it read again and again.

Crocs! is the delightful, humorous story, told in rhyme, of the adventure of a little boy leaving the city because of all the ‘horrifying critters.’ Imagine his surprise when he thinks he’s leaving for a much-needed vacation from those troublesome critters and he is invaded by Crocs who assault his little island.

Well, the rest is a madcap adventure with a really big surprise ending. I won’t tell you what it is, but the island itself is involved.

Kids are going to love the story and the illustrations add so much to the adventure. I thought my three-year-old grandson might be a bit frightened by some of the pictures, but no, he clapped his hands and yelled ‘again!’ when the book was finished.

Armchair Interviews says: Crocs! Is a whimsical story that will be requested again and again.
