Subtitled: A Classic Collection of over 140 Decorative Edgings

My mother always says, "When you crochet, pay attention to the edgings because they will make or break your project." Crochet designer Belinda "Bendy" Carter has given the crochet world a wonderful guide in Crochet: A Classic Collection of Over 140 Decorative Edgings. The projects are geared for the beginner or the experienced. The edgings range from the traditional to the 'right now' and include so many variations, you're head will be churning with possibilities.

The instructions are clear and concise and are accompanied by lovely colored photographs and informative diagrams. An added bonus is that every pattern gives material suggestions and the skill level necessary to easily complete the project.

I'm a beginner so I started with the knit-look dishcloth and am pleased with the results. My mother is longing to start working on the Lacy Lavender Coat (just not in lavender). And she's determined to try and add some bunny faces to a project she's already started. And who knew adding beads to a project could be so inviting?

Armchair Interviews says: Carter's guide is a keeper for any person interested in learning to crochet or increasing their skill and creativity.
