In this book CREATION stands for Choice, Rest, Environment, Activity, Trust, Interpersonal Relationships Outlook and finally Nutrition.
This is a narrative-type book and not one you can speedread your way through. There are 210 pages of statistics, testimonies and general health-related information before you reach the actual health plan, which doesn't begin until page 211 of the 269 page book. (The author suggests if you're short on time to go straight to the eleventh chapter to do the Rejuvenation Therapy first--and I agree.)
This doesn't make it a bad book. In fact, it dishes out some sound advice on dealing with common life issues that can affect your overall health.
For instance, research proves we need more hugs in our lives to be healthy. Also the power of forgiveness can help you to live longer.
Did you know T cells and NK cells are key players in your immune system and if you have a positive outlook on life you will have more?
One of my favorite "food for thought" quotes included is by Thoreau. "He who distinguishes the true savor of his food can never be a glutton; He who does not cannot be otherwise." A great reminder to slow down and savor not only food but life.
Phase 1 The Creation Health Three-day Rejuvenation Therapy is a meditative as well as detox plan with detailed dietary instructions and suggestions for a 3-day rejuvenation getaway.
Phase 2 The Creation Health Eight-week Lifestyle Transformation Plan incorporates something from each of the eight Creation elements: Choice, Rest, Environment, Activity, Trust, Intimacy, Outlook, and Nutrition for an overall life makeover.
Phase 3 is designed to help maintain the balance you've achieved doing phases 1 and 2.
In conclusion, if you want to find out what's actually keeping you tired, depressed, overweight, and unmotivated, then this book could help you to unlock the answers and help you get started on a new you. I give it 3 stars.
Armchair Interviews says: Good information that takes some intense reading to find.
