Blessed Assurance is Avon Inspire’s beautifully repackaged edition of three previously released titles by Lyn Cote: Whispers of Love; Lost in His Love; and Echoes of Mercy.

In Whispers of Love, Jessie Wagstaff works hard to provide for her young son and continue the ideals of racial equality her husband Will fought and died for during the Civil War. Lee Smith, running from the horrors he experienced during the war, is determined to honor the promise he made to Will before he died. But Lee is also determined to hide the truth of his past from everyone, including Jessie. Will it take the Great Chicago Fire to burn away the secrets between them and reveal that God has healing plans for their future?

In Lost in His Love, Linc Wagstaff settles in San Francisco, intent on using his journalism skills to continue the fight against child labor. His first goal is to meet heiress Cecilia Jackson, a woman who has no idea her inheritance contains many factories that exploit their workers. As the dark secrets of Cecilia’s past are exposed and she works to begin a new life, Linc finds himself drawn to her in ways he hadn’t intended. However, Cecilia’s childhood has left scars and she never intends to marry. When the earthquake hits, will Cecilia learn to see past the hurt and begin to trust in both God’s love and Linc’s?

In Echoes of Mercy, Meg Wagstaff challenges the racial and social barriers of 1920’s New Orleans to prove her childhood friend, Del Dubois, did not commit murder. The prosecuting attorney, Gabriel St. Clair, is a Southern gentleman who is shocked at Meg’s modern ways. Sparks fly between Meg and Gabe, but they soon realize that their similar experiences during the World War unite them in ways stronger than their differences. As Meg’s search for truth puts her in danger, will she be able to work together with Gabe against forces more interested in profit than justice?

Armchair Interviews says: Lyn Cote expertly weaves historical facts, cultural and social mores, and compelling characters into three stories you won’t want to miss.
