NYPD Detective Ellie Hatcher is out for an early morning run with her brother when she happens upon the grizzly murder scene of a young Indiana college student, Chelsea Hart. Ellie catches the case and she and her new partner begin to piece together the victim’s last night. What they find is a “hot” club in the Meatpacking district of Manhattan that caters to well-to-do men who have more money than they know what to do with.

Forensic evidence points to a young hedge fund manager linked to the victim the night of her murder. But Ellie receives a tip from a cold case that leads her to suspect the hedge manager may not be the murderer. Years ago other victims died a similar death to Chelsea Hart–and they all had hair taken as a souvenir by the perpetrator.

The other cops are not buying Ellie’s investigation and it causes the new detective more problems than she cares to deal with. It also makes her a potential target. There’s a psychopath wandering the streets of Manhattan and Ellie had better watch her back, or she could be the next victim.

Angel’s Tip sizzles. It is a fast-paced thriller that keeps the reader on the edge of their seat. The monster behind the murders will ‘knock you off your feet.’ Don’t bother trying to figure it out, just enjoy. The characters are fleshed out and Burke’s descriptions are so vivid you can almost see and smell Manhattan.
