Take multiple, seemingly unconnected yet interwoven plot lines, throw in a splash of romance, a summer in the Alaskan bush and a thumbprint of beloved pets--and you get Colleen Coble's latest release, Alaska Twilight.

Haley is in Alaska facing her past and conquering her fear. Tank just wants to protect his family and his bears. Kipp wants to showboat. Denny wants to talk about spirits. Augusta wants to write a book. Marley wants her niece. Bixby wants to get to the bottom of things. Miki wants a sandwich. And a handful of other characters rotate around them in a series of events that makes you wonder why you didn't know the ending all along. This being Romantic Suspense, telling any more of the plot would potentially waste what would otherwise be an edge-of-your-seat read.

With cameo appearances by her previous characters, Bree and Samson, from her Rock Harbor series, Coble delights readers with a valiant canine rescue in the thick of a predatory bear attack. Also, Savannah of Savannah from Savannah (Denise Hildreth) fame makes her appearance. Those who are familiar with the previous WestBow titles will enjoy their brief visit with old favorites.

Coble writes her trademark love between man and animal while she strings together a complex web of events, makes every event matter, yet leaves readers with an ending that is unexpected.

Armchair Interviews says: Those readers who find fiction all too real in their imaginary world will breathe a sigh of relief that the good guys win and the bad guys go away for good. Sleep easy friends.
