Cow is off on another journey and this time responsibility is involved. Grocery list in hand, he takes off on the train to bring home dinner. Grocery shopping is a tough feat for a little cow, but, heavy grapes notwithstanding, he is successful and celebrates by going to the movies with his family.
Adventures of Cow, Too is just as hilarious as cow's first adventure. Cow seems to know exactly what his mom meant for him to buy, but your kids might think he is way off base. Apples for pie (limes), ice cream (frozen peas), and heavy grapes (grapefruit) are only part of the list as cow asks fish on ice for direction and references price signs for the time.
Again, the photographs and text perfectly complement one another to produce a humorous effect. Older children will find Cow's confusion choke-on-your-crackers funny, but this isn't the book to buy if you want your children to learn their produce. If you are looking for a book to produce quality family time, this one will certainly open up the road for discussion and giggles with the six-and-under crowd.
Armchair Interviews says: A super fun twist on the traditional read-aloud.
