Accuser of the Brethren is a thriller by Tee Michaels. In it we meet Celeste Tyler, a young woman who has come back from a horrific accident to be an essential member of the Bradley Modeling Agency. Her brother Kevin is less pleased with her success. He is worried that she is pushing herself too hard. It isn’t work at the agency that is going to challenge Celeste–she learns that she is being stalked by a madman. While she tries to put it out of her mind as just a random event, tragic events convince her that she is the target. Soon she is on the run, isolated from her friends and even from Kevin.

The story is a bit on the slow side getting started, but once the cat-and-mouse game between Celeste and her stalker begins, the action carried me forward. The book is the first of at least two books so some extra time to develop the characters is understandable. I found the characters to be engaging and believable. It is easy to like the people who populate this book.

Even though a second book is planned, the ending of this novel is satisfactory enough to keep me from gnashing my teeth while waiting for the next installment. I will look for the next part of the story with some anticipation.

Armchair Interviews says: A thriller about stalking can be very scary.
