Superb! Incredible! I loved Julie Lessman’s A Passion Most Pure from the second I picked it up until the very last moment I stopped reading. Having never read anything by her before, I can tell you that I was more than pleasantly surprised and will forever treasure this captivating book.

Faith O’Connor is a product of a loving, devoted close-knit family and she is staunchly obedient to her faith in God. Faith refuses to allow anyone or any situation to sway her walk with the Lord until she meets Collin McGuire. Collin on the other hand comes from a single parent home, lives on the wrong side of the tracks and loves breaking all the rules, including going against Faith’s fathers wishes to court her sister, Charity. Trouble brews when Collin decides that he not only has feelings for Charity, but Faith as well. Soon, Faith finds herself in a nasty triangle of warring emotions that pit sister against sister for the man they both love.

As World War I erupts, Faith embraces her mother’s decision to leave Boston and stay with family in Ireland until the war is over and her father and brother hopefully return. Faith’s prayer is that the time away will help her clear her mind and purge her heart of any remembrances of Collin McGuire and right any wrongs that were caused between her Faith and her sister.

I fully admired Faith’s resolve to protect her faith walk and to cherish God’s word above any of her emotions or circumstances. Faith’s desire to follow God’s will had me cheering, crying and wanting to reevaluate my own personal walk.

For every woman, who had loved a man but loved God more, this story is for you.
