Forever Books
Paranormal romance
Insatiable Desire is the first book in a new paranormal romantic suspense series by Rita Herron. There is nail-biting suspense, romance, erotica, mystery, and paranormal elements all within this story. Every once in a while, I read a book that I absolutely love and adore; Insatiable Desire is one of those books. The book ended with a killer cliffhanger that will leave readers eager for the next book, Demon Hunger due out in the summer of 2009.

Mystery
A platinum blonde, who dresses in black all the way down to her boots, Kristen Van Dijk, a.k.a. Baby Shark, packs more guns and knives than any most bad guys. Kristen and her partner Otis are supposed to deliver the ransom money for a beautiful, yet simple, young Oklahoma gal. When Kristen shows up at the rendezvous site, guns start blazing. There is lots of shooting, fighting, fast driving, and all-hell-breakin’-loose action. While Otis may be rather stereotypical of the private investigator, Kristen’s uniqueness lends a new beat to the tune. When Otis is side-lined with a bullet wound, it’s up to Kristen to put all the pieces together and figure out what’s really happening. The pages flew as fast as the bullets.

Marjorie Garber
Pantheon Books
Non-fiction
This book was like sitting down with an extremely well informed friend and listening to her expound in conversational language about a subject she obviously loves. Recommend for anyone who has an interest in American studies and literature – particularly in Shakespearean plays. Garber covers the following plays: “The Tempest, Romeo and Juliet, Coriolanus, Macbeth, Richard III, The Merchant of Venice, Othello, Henry V, Hamlet,” and “King Lear.” She has found ways to point out the relevance of each for our time and has done it in a way that is both informative and enjoyable to read.

Business / Writing
This is a first-rate reference book not only for “business grammar”–but for anyone who ever writes anything. It contains all the rules we were taught in middle and high school–but may have forgotten. Any book that helps you to write better, clearer and with more accuracy, needs to be read and then kept as a reference. Booher’s book belongs on your shelf at home and desk in the office.
