Audio Interview: David Rosenfelt, author of Play Dead
David Rosenfelt Interview Audio
Listen in as Andrea Sisco and author David Rosenfelt discuss writing, his new novel Play Dead and his great loveāof dogs, specifically Golden Retrievers. Authors are always interesting to talk with, but David Rosenfelt is a genuinely nice guy and interesting to boot.
His series about attorney Andy Carpenter (who also loves his Golden Retriever, Tara) is fun, fast-paced and is filled with unique and quirky characters. Oh, the plot sizzles also.
In Play Dead, Andy discovers that a Golden Retriever who was nearly put down after biting his new owner is the key to a five-year-old murder. But solving the murder will take a great deal of work. It's a good thing Andy surrounds himself with the people who can get to the bottom of puzzles. A man's life depends on Andy's success.
David Rosenfelt was the marketing president for Tri-Star Pictures before writing and selling screenplays and ultimately novels. His first novel, Open and Shut won Edgar and Shamus nominations. First Degree, his second novel, was a Publishers Weekly selection for one of the top mysteries of the year, and Bury the Lead was chosen as a Today Show Book Club pick.
